I built this myself. Not because I wanted to start a software company, but because I needed tools that didn't exist.

After four years in the Marine Corps, I transitioned into behavioral health work. For the next four years, I worked directly with people in recovery—as a peer support specialist, then as a recovery coach. I saw what worked and what didn't. I watched coaches burn out from administrative overhead. I saw clients fall through the cracks when systems didn't talk to each other.

The tools available were either too generic (built for any industry, adapted for none) or too expensive (enterprise pricing for single-coach practices). So I started building what I wished existed.

Recovery Compass began as a side project. I taught myself to code while still working as a coach. Every feature came from a real problem—a missed check-in, a scheduling conflict, a client who couldn't find a meeting near them. I built what my colleagues and I actually needed.

Today, Recovery Compass is a full platform: native mobile apps, admin dashboards, automated notifications, CRM, custom forms, and AI-powered insights. But it's still built with the same principle: every feature serves the recovery journey.

I'm not a Silicon Valley founder with an exit strategy. I'm a Marine Corps veteran and recovery coach who built the tools I needed. That perspective shapes everything about this platform.
